I am in one of my better moods today. I just got done on a hike and took some amazing pictures. I will put them up when I get back to Whitewater tonight. Also took some yesterday that will be put up.

Also - I wish it was Junior year of college because I really want to travel to Scandinavia (Sweden / Norway) for my study abroad program!

Long story short - I just spent about 45 minutes going through all of my old art and clearing out my gallery. I still kept most of the older stuff, but I really didn't want to save all the deviant desktop shots and ids that I used to have. I also took some time to use the new organizational features to set up a few different galleries.

I'm working on a new landscape render right now. I have one version that I'm probably going to scrap. I've rendered this version 5 times now and I can't get the clouds right. Hopefully this time it will work.

Well well well! Fractals may drop off for a little bit, as may landscapes. I just started school up again but I'm watching Afro Samurai Resurrection right now and it is amazing. I might be tinkering with Adobe Illustrator and my old medium grade pencils pretty soon.

I just got Terragen 2 Deep version and was going to have my first submission of 2009 be a 1920x1200 wallpaper landscape. After 80 hours of rendering, with about 15 minutes left to finish the last few spots, the program crashed and I lost everything. How about that for a lovely start to 2009?

I then started working on another project that I was going to render at a smaller size so I could output it faster. Right before I clicked render...CRASH! I seem to be having fantastic luck with this tonight...so I think I'm just going to quit while I'm ahead and still have a running laptop.

For those who still have me on watch, happy thanksgiving! I'm really looking forward to this break from school. With the break I will also be finishing up a scenic design for my theatre appreciation class and working on a photography setup for my art appreciation. Look for them within the next couple of weeks!

Scenic Design:
For the play called Matsukaze. It is based off of a traveling priest who arrives at the Suma Bay in Japan and sees a lone tree on the beach. He asks a local and finds out that it is the memorial for two fisherwomen who fell in love with a poet that had traveled to the bay in exile. When the poet left his exile and returned to the capital, they died from grief. The scenic design is an abstract set-up based solely around the lone pine.

Art Appreciation Photo Setup:
Going to take a few different shots over the long weekend. I will be hiking at the state park near where I live and doing a few setups with clothing laying on rocks, giving the illusion of vanishing.
